XS: An 'XS' ISIN code is assigned by an international central securities depository (Clearstream or Euroclear). As distinct from a standard 2-letter country code (assigned by the issuer's country or local depository) an XS-ISIN code is used for a security cleared through an international central securities depository. This ISIN code is shared between both ICSDs via a common file platform.
