Eurodollar: US dollar currency held in banks outside the United States (mostly in Europe) commonly used to settle international transactions. While held outside the US, the dollars are not subject to management by the US Federal Reserve System. Eurodollar-based instruments are not subject to oversight by the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
